This infographic explains the five Pillars. The first pillar is education of the whole child through providing an authentic Montessori education in a nurturing environment with hands on materials, intrinsic motivation, responsibility, rigorous curriculum, and out door learning to prepare children for high school and beyond. The second pillar is supporting our teachers as creative leaders. Our teachers are empowered to shape curriculum and school culture and contribute to ongoing developments in the field of education through research and the dissemination of knowledge, as well as, social-emotional practices for our children and families. They are state certified and Montessori trained. The third pillar is the belief that families are vital members of our community. We partner with families to provide the most nurturing environment to help children grow to their fullest potential. The fourth pillar focuses on continuous growth and the fifth on diversity and teamwork.
Our multi-age classrooms are comprised of Lower Elementary with first, second, and third grades. Upper elementary holds fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. Our adolescent community hold seventh and eighth grades. In each level each classroom houses a number of students from each grade in the class.
